From “Fabrics of Socialism” series.  Kodak 35mm slide projector with a stand, black and white photographic slides, grey curtain. The slide projection Fototeka consists of 80 black and white archival photographs transferred on slides and projected onto a grey fabric curtain in the gallery space. The use of fabric serves as a representation of the ideological curtain often used as a backdrop for communist party meetings. The sound of the slide projector becomes an additional layer to images and objects, evoking an atmosphere of the past. Images projected onto the curtain break over the folds of the curtain. Like the image itself, the history appears fragile and slightly distorted.
